Queens, NY- The 73rd International Everest Day Celebration and Traditional Blessing Ceremony is kicking off this morning at 10:30 AM in Elmhurst, Queens. Jointly hosted by the US Nepal Climbers Association Inc. and the United Sherpa Association (USA) Inc., the historic event brings together mountaineers, community leaders, and cultural enthusiasts to honor the anniversary of the historic 1953 first successful ascent of Mount Everest.

The day’s program features a sacred Traditional Blessing Ceremony alongside vibrant cultural presentations. The gathering serves to unite the local Himalayan diaspora, preserve deep-rooted Sherpa traditions, and recognize the enduring global impact of mountain exploration.
